Welcome to an event in our series Meet the author where we will have a discussion with Kim Simonsen.

Kim Simonsen (1970) is nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize 2024 for his book  The biological composition of a drop of seawater reminds me of the blood in my veins. He has authored seven books. He has won the National Faroese Literary Award in 2014. His books have been translated into Danish and Macedonian, and is forthcoming into Italian, Hungarian, German, and English. He studied creative writing at Gladiator’s Writing Academy in Copenhagen and has been teaching creative writing at the University of the Faroe Islands. He holds a PhD from the University of Roskilde and is the managing editor of Forlagið Eksil, a Faroese small press. Simonsen is also a part time scholar in Iceland.
