Ómun
1500
Born from over three decades of individual experimental practice in Icelandic poetry, spoken word, and atmospheric ritualistic music, the trio Ómun brings together Ásdís Sif (vocals), Nico Guerrero (guitar/keyboard), and Tristan Zand (bowed bass) for a unique sonic pilgrimage. Revisiting pagan legends and animistic rituals, the group explores Icelandic narratives through improvised words and music that drift between English and Icelandic.
Within the quiet landscape from delicate acoustic textures, words appear, dissolve, and return, guiding listeners toward a narrative dimension where sound and story move as one. Each performance by Ómun is an open, improvised experience shaped by the moment, and you have to be there to find out how the interesting atmosphere surrounding the Pikknikk venue is going to influence the trio’s creative output this Sunday afternoon.
