Hyggestund Watercoloring Insects
13:00-15:00
In this family workshop, you will be inspired by the small but important world of insects. Íris María, a visual artist, leads the art workshop. You start by drawing insects with felt-tip pens and then they are painted with watercolors.
Insects play a key role in our ecosystems; they pollinate plants, help decompose organic matter and are important food for birds and other animals. Although they often pass us by, they are an indispensable part of nature.
The workshop is free and suitable for families and participants of all ages.
Íris María Leifsdóttir is a visual artist who creates weathered works with Icelandic minerals and oil. She has studied art education, visual arts, sociology and painting. Íris María has exhibited in museums and galleries both in Iceland and in Greenland.
