Song and Poetry Workshop for children during winterbreak holidays

In the workshop, children have the opportunity to learn and listen to Nordic songs along with Nordic children’s poetry. Children will also be encouraged to create their own poems about nature, the environment, the climate, visions and dreams. Children who want can upload their new poems directly to the world web on the website ljodfyroloftslagid.is when they are ready.

The workshop is made by Reykjavík Opera Days

Teachers are Bryndís Guðjónsdóttir and Vera Hjördís Madsdóttir.

Accessibility: The Children’s Library is accessible from the Library by going down a flight of steps. For wheelchairs, access is by elevator from the main floor and from there through the exhibition hall. Accessible toilets are on the main floor of the building and all toilets are gender neutral. A ramp leads to the Nordic building from the parking lot and there is an automatic button by the main door.
