Inuit Inngerneq / Drum Singing: Timaannaq 1

Join the Greenlandic composer and drum dancer Nuka Alice for an introduction to Inngerneq, the traditional Inuit drum-singing and dancing tradition of Greenland.

In this participatory workshop, you will learn about the story, meaning, and principles behind Inngerneq, and explore how to sing with intention and presence. Together, we will learn Timaannaq 1, a song of encouragement without words where expression comes through rhythm, voice, movement, and intention.

The workshop offers a welcoming opportunity to experience an important part of Inuit cultural tradition firsthand, while creating a space for connection and cultural exchange between Greenland and Iceland.

No previous experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.
Free registration and open door. Limited space for a maximum of 60 participants.
