In relation to Reykjavik International Film Festival, The Nordic House is co-hosting relevant seminars and master classes.
This year, a special focus will be on the Baltic Countries, as they this year, similar to Iceland, celebrates their 100 years of independence.
In this masterclass, Ukrainian filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa will focus on the concepts of documentary and fiction, and how these concepts are undergoing a drastic transformation in the contemporary situation of post-truth and fake news. In relation to this, Loznitsa will tell us about his latest fil Donbass, a fiction film inspired by real online videos.
