Welcome to Shoptalk #4 this Thursday 19th September at 5pm.
We are excited to introduce you to Kannski, a Reykjavik space created to disrupt and expand the Icelandic art scene. Kannski is dedicated to showing art and artworks under-represented in the Icelandic arts.
In this special “ShopTalk” event, Kannski’s founders Sadie Cook and Diljá Þorvaldsdóttir invite you to a brief talk about their own practices, the trials and tribulations of trying to start something new in Reykjavik. For the second half of the event, Sadie and Diljá will open up a conversation with you about what you would like to see from art spaces, what kind of events you think are missing from the Icelandic scene.
Come join us for the first “ShopTalk” session of the fall, where you’ll get a glimpse into the workings of one of the newest art spaces in town, and the nuances of this unique space.
ACCESSIBILITY: This event will be held in English. The Auditorium and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms are gender-neutral. Admission is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
