The project is a collaborative initiative carried out in partnership with the Anykščiai Library in Lithuania, and its development also aims to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions. The original idea for the project came from Lithuania, initiated by Ema Abramovaitė‑Juškienė. The implementation and design of the project were carried out by Ásthildur Jónsdóttir and Ellen Gunnarsdóttir.
The workshops focused, among other things, on practicing storytelling that connects personal and ecological awareness, based on the SEE pedagogy developed at Emory University. This approach expands traditional social and emotional learning by integrating ethical awareness, systems thinking, and global responsibility. The teaching material, along with information about the project, is now available in both English and Icelandic as a PDF here on the Nordic House website.
