9:30 - 12:30
Children's Library

Workshop during the Winter break for children 8 up to 10 years old.

The workshop will take place in the children’s library from 9:30 to 12:30

Two days workshop focusing on trees and Sámi patterns. We will experiment with gel print, stitching and painting on fabric.

Teachers of the workshop are Estelle Pollaert, artist, and Hrafnhildur Gissurardóttir, Nordic House educator.

Estelle Pollaert is a French multidisciplinary artist based in Reykjavik, Iceland. Formerly trained as a product designer/glass blower in France and in Finland she now focuses on illustration and building of papier mâché sculptures. Her art is playful, colorful and makes us smile every day we encounter them. Estelle has experience teaching to Children’s in English, French and Icelandic.

The workshop is free of charge but registration are needed as there is limited space. You can sign up by sending an email to hrafnhildur@nordichouse.is.

All materials will be provided. Teaching takes place in English, French, Icelandic.

We recommend bringing a small snack for the morning break. We also encourage parents to dress their children in clothing that they don’t mind getting stained.
