WINTER WORKS – Second Sunday of Advent with Tomas Espedal
11:00
Winter Works is a literary advent calendar from the Nordic House in Reykjavík. Five Nordic writers from Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland interpret winter and read from their homes.
How does winter work? Does it hurt? Does it bring joy? Does it touch something?
The reading is in Norwegian.
Through three excerpts that move seamlessly between each other, we follow Tomas Espedal through the winter, where we also meet the good death.
He reads excerpts from his works: Brev, Bergeners and Året
Winter Works will be available on the Nordic House’ channels every Sunday in Advent until Christmas – with an extra cliff hanger in the new year. All invited writers are former nominees or winners of the Nordic Council’s Literature Prize. The Nordic Council’s literature secretariat is based in the Nordic House in Iceland.
