Roundabout Baltic is an international design exhibition presenting objects created in eight countries connected by the coastline of the Baltic Sea. It showcases achievements of designers from the stretch of the Baltic Sea in a broad cultural and visual context. It is a narrative exhibition, a personal narration of the curator, which portrays the visual connection between the designers, their work and the seaside landscape etched into their creative sensitivity through design. The landscape provides the background for the story: dunes, beach and water, vegetation, rocks and submarine life, different times of day and changing seasons. The products and objects crafted by artisans from countries around the Baltic Sea are the cornerstone of the multilayered narration of the project.

The original exhibition presents works of more than 40 designers from eight countries. On the occasion of Roundabout Baltic opening at the Nordic House, examples of contemporary Icelandic design with inspiration from the sea will be added to the exhibition.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free. Note that entrance to Roundabout Baltic PLUS Iceland is free during DesignMarch 2017.
