Movie: Skál and a talk with the author

We invite you to a screening of the Faroese film Skál, which is about the poet and musician Dania O. Tausen. The film, directed by Maria Tórgarð and Cecilie Debell, is about identity, faith, love, freedom, and finding one’s own voice.

Skál won the award for best film in the New Nordic Voice category at Nordisk Panorama 2021, where the jury, among other things, emphasized the film’s sincere storytelling, strong artistic vision, and beautiful visual presentation.

After the screening, Silje Beite Løken will lead a conversation with Dania. Here, there will be an opportunity to discuss the film, the creative process, and the personal and social themes it addresses.
