Classics in the Moorland – An evening with Strauss

20.00

Egill Árni Pálsson, tenor
Kristinn Örn Kristinsson, pianist

On the program are two song cycles by Richard Strauss, Op. 10 and Op. 19. His cycles are generally not in narrative form and they are rarely performed as a whole, but many have interesting stories behind them which give insight into the composer´s life and work. These two cycles contain some of the composer´s most celebrated songs.

Egill performs regularly in opera projects, church concerts and Lied recitals in Iceland and abroad.
