One of the key events of DesignMarch in recent years has been the symposium and panel discussion Investing in Design.
This year will be no exception, with an outstanding group of professionals from the design world taking the stage!

This year’s focus will be on fashion design, investment, and success within that sector of the design industry. Behind every fashion collection lies years of work that involves much more than design itself—work that is usually hidden from those outside the field. A successful fashion brand must, above all else, have a clear long-term vision and place quality at the forefront of every stage of production.

The experienced individuals participating in the seminar and sharing their insights into fashion design and production are:

Steinunn Sigurðardóttir is the founder, owner, and head designer of STEiNUNN, known for its craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainable approach, shaped by her international experience at major fashion houses. Her work is defined by sculptural knitwear, innovative textures, and a deep connection to nature, earning global recognition for designs that blend artistry with ethical fashion.

Vera Thordardottir is a luxury brand strategist and creative director specialising in emotion-driven strategy at the intersection of design, culture, and commerce, helping brands turn creative vision into lasting commercial value. She is the owner of AQVAROSSA and co-founder of Bears Ice Cream Imaginarium, and has also lectured at Istituto Marangoni while working on a book for Routledge.

Rylé Tuvierra is a multidisciplinary creative, working across fashion, culture, and digital storytelling, known for turning global fashion moments into compelling visual narratives. Through a lens of identity, movement, and community, they blend creative direction, video, and cultural commentary to redefine how audiences experience fashion.

The event will be moderated by Karítas Diðriksdóttir and will be held in English.
