Seminar on fur farming in Iceland
The Icelandic animal welfare association, humane world for animals, and the Nordic house in Reykjavík invite you to a seminar on fur farming in Iceland.
The seminar will explore the current state of the industry and its development over the past decade, as well as issues including animal welfare, economic considerations and the possible future of fur farming in Iceland.
The programme will feature presentations by Icelandic and international experts, short films and a musical performance by Ragnheiður Gröndal. The event will also include a panel discussion in which representatives of political parties will discuss the issue and answer questions from the audience.
International speakers include Mike Moser, who worked for many years within the international fur industry, and Artūrs Kaņepājs, an economist who has conducted an extensive economic analysis of fur farming in Iceland. He will present the key findings of his research at the seminar.
Light refreshments and welcome drinks will be served.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome, subject to available space.
