Fashion design takes over The Nordic House as part of DesignMarch, transforming it into a vibrant meeting point for creativity, culture, and conversation.

This year’s DesignMarch theme, Connections, invites us to explore how fashion links us to tradition, rituals, and craftsmanship. Throughout the festival, the Nordic House will host a curated programme that brings these ideas to life: showrooms featuring emerging and established designers, panel talks, presentations, a dance performance, a textile installation, a photography exhibition, a revisiting of the Icelandic fashion archive, a pop‑up store, workshops, and tea ceremonies, all set within a calm Nordic atmosphere.

Threads of Connection aims to spark meaningful dialogue about fashion, culture, and community, while highlighting the value of the work on display. The initiative celebrates local talent and education, while embracing a global perspective rooted in Icelandic craftsmanship and tradition.
