The Future of the North Atlantic Film Landscape on Saturday the 28th of March, followed by a wonderful children’s program on Sunday the 29th of March.

In this panel, the chairs of key Icelandic film industry associations come together to discuss the current state of the Icelandic film sector. The conversation will address the opportunities and challenges facing filmmakers today, including funding structures, working conditions, international collaboration, and the sustainability of the industry.
The discussion brings together voices from across the professional landscape to reflect on where the Icelandic film industry stands today and how it can continue to develop in a rapidly changing global environment.

The Future of the North Atlantic Film Landscape
Panel discussion with representatives of the film funds in the Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Greenland.
This panel brings together representatives from the film institutes of the Faroe Islands, Iceland, and Greenland to discuss the current state and future development of film production in the North Atlantic region. The conversation will explore the opportunities and challenges facing smaller film industries, including funding structures, talent development, international collaboration, and the importance of regional partnerships.
By bringing together key stakeholders from these three countries, the panel aims to highlight how stronger cooperation across the North Atlantic can support filmmakers, encourage co-productions, and help amplify stories from the region on an international stage.
