The guitar duet DUO NOR has been in existence for 13 years and given many concerts, including concerts at Reykjavík Jazz Festival, Living Room Concerts on Gljúfrasteinn (in 2009) and in Westman Islands and beyond, always with positive response. New member Jon Rafnsson bassist joined (Omar and Jakob) the duet in autumn 2014. This reinforcement provides a new and very enjoyable touch and now they operate under the name Trio Nor.
Projects:
Jazz standards by Henry Mancini, Horace Silver, Errol Garner and Antonio Carlos Jobim, and others in likeable arrangements. The style is often in latin but you can also hear influences from classical music and jazz music. Most often electric guitars are used in jazz but by using a classical guitar, they bring a pleasurable sound and a special atmosphere. The trio puts a lot of work in exposure.
