Workshop for kids – Registration is closed

13-16

Workshop for kids / June 27th 13:00-16:00 / Free

Do YOU want to play exciting music with other kids at the Nordic House?

At this workshop you will meet professional musicians from Norway, presenting a new method that will make you play cool, improvised music in a few hours, even if you have never tried it before.

All levels are welcome, from kids that have not played any instruments, to trained instrumentalists. The participants will be divided into groups that match their skills. The instructions are mainly nonverbal, so you don’t have to understand English or Norwegian to participate.

By joining, you will get the opportunity of joining more workshops the coming year. If you enjoy playing, you might even go to Norway to play with other kids.

The workshop is for children who are 8–14 years old. The project is a cooperation between the Nordic House in Reykjavik and Improbasen – a resource center for children in jazz, located in Oslo.
The project is supported by Nordisk Kulturfond, Norsk Kulturråd and Norsk-Islandsk Kultursamarbeid.
