The reading will take place in the Children´s Library at the Nordic house where the summer exhibition based on the book Birds by Hjörleifur Hjartarson and Rán Flygenring is showing. The exhibition highlights thirteen birds that have a home or have stopped by in Vatnsmýrin, moorland, outside the Nordic House – which is also a bird conservation area.

About the reader: Nannaelvah holds a Master of Arts in History and Corporate Humanities from the University of Copenhagen and is also a certified mindfulness instructor. She worked as a mindfulness teacher for children and parents in Copenhagen before relocating to Iceland. Nannaelvah is a mother of three children aged 10, 7, and 4.

Opening hours and accessibility: The Children’s Library is open for all. Accessible for wheelchair users via the elevator and through Hvelfing exhibition space. Accessible restrooms and a restroom for families with babies is on the main floor. Opening hours are TUE-SUN 10 am-17 pm. Entrance to the library and all events is free of charge. This event will be in Danish.

OPENING HOURS AND ACCESS: The Nordic House Children’s Book Collection is open to everyone, wheelchair access is via the elevator and from there through the Hvelfinga exhibition space. Accessible toilets and changing facilities are on the main floor of the building. Library staff provide further information and assistance if needed.
