Playful Art!

13:00 - 15:00
Children's Library & Hvelfing
Free entry

Whole family is welcome to a workshop focusing on the sculptures outside Nordic house, connected to the new exhibition OPEN.

The sculptures are by artist Helgi Valdimarsson which showcase different forms, persons, figures and phenomenon such as Mickey Mouse, a heart and a famous hero from the sagas. To start with take a clip board with a pencil, from the library desk and practice some live sketching outside, of a sculpture of your choosing. Afterwards feel free to elaborate on the drawing and try making it into a collage, with the help of Amalie Guldberg Thomsen in the children’s library.

If the weather is not allowing for an outside drawing, interesting works inside the exhibition can be chosen. We recommend a work that focuses on documenting the internet! Now how does that work? and how does that look? See for your self and make your own interpretation of the internet!

The workshop is for free and for all.

It is possible to drop by any time between 1-3 pm.

Access to Hvelfing is good. An elevator goes down from the main floor, but you can also go down stairs from the outside. Accessible restrooms are on the main floor. The Children’s Library is accessible for wheelchairs through the exhibition hall Hvelfing. Library staff can give guidance. Restrooms are wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral. The workshop takes place in English and Danish.
