Sunday Story Hour: Nordic Council Children Literature Prize

The whole family is welcome to a Sunday story hour where we will read from the winning book of the Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize – Eldgos by Rán Flygenring.

Rán Flygenring was announced as the winner of the prize on Tuesday, October 31. The Jury’s explanation for the prize was this: “Rán Flygenring has created an explosively visual picture book about how wild and uncontrollable nature affects humans. The images and text are skilfully woven into a playful and humorous story that’s bursting with power.”

The reading will be in Icelandic.

Accessibility: All restrooms are gender neutral. The children’s library is accessible for wheelchairs via the Hvelfing exhibition hall and the library personel can be of asstance if needed.
