Welcome to an evening celebrating poetry and the dialogue between Icelandic and Finnish.  

The poetry readings will be held in Icelandic, Finnish and English by Anni Sumari, Vilja-Tuulia Huotarinen and Kári Tulinius. 

The poets:
Anni Sumari (FI), author and translator. Besides her own books of poetry, she has translated twenty books, including books by Louise Glück, Anne Sexton, Samuel Beckett and Bernardine Évaristo.
Vilja-Tuulia Huotarinen (FI), poet, novelist and the program director of Turku Book Fair.

Kári Tulinius (IS), poet, novelist and co-editor of short story webzine Stelkur.

 

Accessibility  to the Pavillion is not ideal for wheelchair users. The Pavillion stands in front of small garden with grass and tables, a small pathway made of gravel leads up to the area from the parking lot .Accessible and gender neutral bathrooms are on the main floor of The Nordic House and a ramp leads up to the building. On the main floor of the house is an elevator that goes down to Hvelfing exhibition space.
