Uncertain Matter – Audio-installation

18:00-22:00

Uncertain Matter

‘There is no need to build a labyrinth when the entire universe is one.’

– Jorge Luis Borges-

Uncertain Matter is a narrative driven audio-installation in the greenhouse by Ella Bertilsson (SWE) and Ulla Juske (EST).

Open 23.09 and 24.09 from 18:00 – 22:00.  Free entrance!

Join us for a moment, enjoy the environment and emerge into a soundscape that contemplates on themes of time, humanity and our world.

Uncertain Matter explores boundaries between fact and fiction, challenges perception of time, our place in the universe and our future within it. The narrative is based on numerous conversations with amateur astronomers, astrophysicists and botanists from Reykjavik and the surrounding area. The story that unfolds gives a personal insight to the thoughts and reflections of the people the artists have spoken to.

Bertilsson and Juske’s collaborative practice deals with narrative-based interpretations that explore the subjective experience of time in relation to a specific community, place or setting. Conversations with people connected to subjects the artists are investigating is crucial and becomes a catalyst for developing new work.
