Nature and human being // 09:30-10:30

In this seminar we will discuss how the relation between man and nature is depicted in children’s literature, both new and old. We will also consider the value of using literature to have conversations with children about nature, its properties, values and how their own identity is shaped by the way they mirror themselves in nature, see themselves as part of it or consider it as something external. Participants in the seminar are Gunnar Theodór Eggertsson (IS), Jurga Vile (LI), Kertu Sillaste (ER), Lina Itagaki (LI) and Watse Sybesma (NE). Ólafur Páll Jónsson is moderator.
