Open Call for Musicians

Free entry

Would you like to perform in a unique setting this summer?

The Nordic House Picnic concerts have become a natural part of Reykjavik’s summer music scene. These concerts take place in the greenhouse, with the beautiful Vatnsmýri as a backdrop, accompanied by the sounds of the many birds who reside in the area.

The Nordic House is now looking for artists for this year’s program! Our focus for 2026 is on solo artists or smaller bands, preferably in folk music, acoustic classical music or low-key pop. We are looking for people who can captivate their audience, either with a clear stage presence, or with inspiring musical magic.

Does this sound like something for you or your band? Send an application to Nordic House with a short presentation of your project (150-200 words), a picture, and links to two of your best songs.

Fee: 50,000 ISK for solo projects, 80,000 for 2+ people

Send your application to: lindmusik@gmail.com

The application deadline is March 15th.

Mikael Lind, project manager for Pikknikk 2026, will review all applications and put together the program. If you have any questions, feel free to send him an email. All applicants will receive a response by the end of March.
