Short Films for children & Bookwork Workshop!

YouthRIFF offers a screening of the short film program for children aged 6–9 years old and an open bookwork workshop, during the screenings, inspired by stop-motion films at the Nordic House Library. Children can walk in an out of the screenings and participate in the workshop whenever it suits them during the event.

There is limited space so we encourage everyone to arrive on time before the screening to secure a seat.

YouthRIFF offers children and young people a diverse film program from all over the world, with Films that are not usually shown in Icelandic cinemas. Films that deal with social, environmental and youth issues often provoke discussions after screenings. YouthRIFF wants filmmaking to be both a fun and educational experience. Our goal is also to increase children’s films literacy. The projects are diverse and generally emphasize teamwork, dialogue and critical thinking.
