Finnish Language Café

Do you speak Finnish? Would you like to brush up on your Finnish together with others?
A language café is an informal conversational gathering over a cup of coffee. 

The Nordic House in Reykjavik would like to explore whether there is interest in starting a Finnish language café. This event will help us assess the level of interest. The gathering will be lead by a representative from The Finnish Embassy who will work with The Nordic House to find topics for a conversation. The idea is to practice Finnish at all levels. We do encourage native speakers to join as well. 

At 18:00 hrs Finnish playwright and writer Sofi Oksanen will be discussing her plays with Gréta Kristín Ómarsdóttir, associate professor at LHÍ. They will be speaking English and readings during the event will be held by Icelandic actors in Icelandic.
