FAMILY WORKSHOP: New map of the Nordic House by Rán Flygenring

13:00 - 15:00
Children's Library
Free entry

A brand new map of the Nordic house by Icelandic most known illustrator and author Rán Flygenring will be the main subject of next Saturday’s family workshop. The map shows in a fun way the activity of the Nordic House on the upper and lower floors, as well as highlighting the outdoor area and the birds that are most commonly found in the bird protection area outside.

Coloring sheets based on the new map will be on site and it will be possible to color the outdoor area, the lower floor of the building and the upper floor. On the coloring sheets, you can change the color of the Nordic house – try having it in all the colors of the rainbow!

Along with a map and coloring sheets, there will also be blank sheets where visitors are encouraged to draw what they think is missing in the Norræna húsið. You can add to the Nordic house or draw a brand new house in the outdoor area based on what you think  is missing. Do we need more birdhouses? A hut? another greenhouse?

You can go on a research mission around the house and the outdoor area with the new map to get ideas.

Everyone who attends will receive the new map of the house and coloring pages designed by the well-known author Rán Flygenring.

The family session is free and everyone is welcome!
Languages are Icelandic and English.

The local teacher will be Hrafnhildur Gissurardóttir, mediator of Arts and Culture at the Nordic house.
