Duo Systrami consists of the twin sisters Fanny Källström on violin and Klara Källström on cello.

Rooted in Ångermanland in the north of Sweden, the sisters create music inspired by the dramatic and mysterious landscape from their home district. It is about the dark seas, the fierce storms and the deep forests. Their music is also a reflection of their very close relation as twin sisters. It describes the entire spectra of feelings from grief and anger to trust and happiness – what it really means to know someone from the inside out.

Duo Systrami was never really formed, it always existed. As long as they remember the twins have played and created music together.

With the sisters on stage you never know what to expect. Something that starts with a beautiful and delightful melody is in the next secound replaced by a groovy beat – maybe they even start to sing! The interplay with each other and the throws between genres make Duo Systrami  impossible to put a lable on. They fly as they please, but always together.

In November 2016 they released their debutalbum, När Isen Går, When the Ice is Breaking

The concert is part of the annual VAKA Folk Arts Festival in Akureyri that presents the very best folk and roots musicians, dancers and craft workers, rooted in the traditional folk arts of Iceland, along with performers from the Nordic and other countries of northern Europe
