Culture Night: Jazz concert with Frítt Fall
17:00
Frítt Fall is a trio that unites three eclectic voices from the Nordic jazz scene.
Kresten Osgood (Denmark) is perhaps the most active drummer and multi-instrumentalist from Denmark in recent years. Since the 1990s, he has played with some of the biggest names in jazz and free jazz, including Paul Bley, Brad Mehldau, Peter Brötzmann, and countless others. When Kresten plays, both audience and fellow musicians are drawn into his incredibly free, sensitive, and spontaneous musicality.
Bárður R. Poulsen (Faroe Islands) has lived in Norway for the past 14 years and has been a prominent part of the Norwegian jazz scene. He plays in the Ingi Bjarni trio, and he has helped found bands such as Wako, Espen Berg Trio, and Flukten, and has toured in Japan, China, Greece, South Africa, throughout Europe, and across Norway.
Kristian Blak (Denmark/Faroe Islands) is a musician, composer, and passionate arranger. With his jazz project Yggdrasil, he has since the 1980s released numerous records with musicians such as Anders Jormin, Tore Brunborg, Bjørn Alterhaug, and many more, and has toured all over the world.
