Bird Disco & Opening of the “Birds” Exhibition
13:00-16:00
Welcome to a bird disco!
The summer exhibition at the Nordic House Children’s Library opens on Sunday, May 11, from 13:00–16:00 with a joyful program that kicks off with a Bird Disco led by multidisciplinary artist Pasi Autio and choreographer Saku Koistinen. We’ll dance to music composed from birdsong in Elissa Hall!
The Bird Disco is a fun, interactive party where everyone is welcome to dance and enjoy under Saku’s guidance!
The exhibition Birds, based on the book Fuglar by Hjörleifur Hjartarson and Rán Flygenring, features thirteen birds that live in or pass through Vatnsmýrin – the bird reserve outside the Nordic House.
Schedule:
• 13:00 Bird Disco for the youngest (<6 years with guardians)
• 13:30–14:30 Workshop with Rán Flygenring
• 15:00 Bird Disco for older kids and adults (6–99 years)
Welcome!
