The problem of plastic pollution is growing exponentially every year; we are producing more than 300 million tons of plastic, half of this is designed for single use, and each year around 8 million tons of it ends up in our oceans. We can solve this problem and we can do it by educating and engaging everyone in a conversation to rethink plastic.

Landvernd, the Icelandic Environment Association, in co-operation with the Nordic house in Iceland, invite you for a free screening of the film followed by a Q&A session. The World Clean Up Day, a global cleaning event founded by the civil based movement Let´s Do it! World, will be introduced but on September 15th, the world unites in cleaning the world and You are encouraged to take action. Millions of people in over 150 countries worldwide will clean their surroundings on this particular day and Landvernd, The Blue Army of Iceland, Plastic-free September and Junior Chamber International-Iceland, encourage you to take part.
