3.Advent: Readings, Pippi episodes & Pippi Christmas Crafts
10:30-14:00
Readings, Pippi episodes & Pippi Christmas Crafts – The Last Story Hour of the Year!
The last Story Hour of the year will be held in Swedish – Pippi Longstocking’s native language. Mikael Lind will read a Christmas themed Pippi story from a picture book. He will also invite guests to try to learn and sing with him a simple Christmas song in Swedish. After the reading guests are invited to Elissa Concert hall to enjoy classic Pippi episodes in Swedish, with winter and Christmas themes. Afterwards a craft workshop, inspired by the events in the episodes, will be available for all, in the Children’s library.
People speaking other languages than Swedish are encouraged to come, for it will be possible to follow the story line through pictures, and it is fun to learn a simple song in another language. The craft workshop at the end will be taught in both English and Icelandic.
10:30-11am Mikael Lind will read a Christmas story about Pippi in Swedish and teach those who want a Swedish Christmas song.
11-12pm Two Pippi episodes, with winter and Christmas themes, screened in Swedish, in Elissa Concert Hall.
12-2pm A fun workshop for all kinds of families, in the spirit of Pippi Longstocking, at the Children’s Library.
