The Nordic House in Reykjavík is seeking an ambitious and reliable Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant for a 50% position, who is eager to grow in the role and take part in the Nordic region’s diverse cultural and collaborative environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Bookkeeping of invoices and general accounting duties

Payroll administration and salary processing

Regular reconciliations

Assistance with financial reporting for grants and projects

Other recurring tasks within finance and administration
Education and qualification requirements

Relevant education for the position; at minimum a certified and recognised bookkeeper

Experience from a similar role (recent or ongoing experience will also be considered)

Strong numerical skills and a high level of accuracy

Experience with the DK accounting system is an asset

Good command of Icelandic and one Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)
