Farewell to Plantan Bistró & New Restaurant Opportunity

After a wonderful collaboration, Plantan Bistró will bid farewell to the Nordic House at the end of July. Their last day of service is 31 July, and we warmly encourage guests to visit and enjoy their offerings until then. We are deeply grateful for the presence, warmth, and professionalism they have brought to our community, and we wish them continued success as they welcome guests at their new location on Njálsgata.

As this chapter closes, a new one begins. The Nordic House is now seeking an ambitious and committed restaurant partner to operate its café and provide catering for meetings, conferences, cultural events, and special programmes. As a vibrant cultural venue with a strong commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and family-friendly hospitality, the Nordic House offers an ideal opportunity to co-create a welcoming space where food, culture, and community meet.

The restaurant will operate during the Nordic House opening hours, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00, and should offer a café and lunch service suitable for all visitors, including families with children. An alcohol licence may be obtained.
