Nature‘s menu – Sustainable Gastronomy Day

On the occasion of the International Day of Sustainable Gastronomy, we invite you to join a guided walk and plant tasting outside the Nordic House. During the walk, we will identify wild edible plants and explore the vegetation in the area.
The walk begins at the Nordic House at 5 pm on Thursday, June 18. Participation is free, and everyone is welcome!
At the Nordic House greenhouse, Slow Food Icelandic Network will host a live cooking demonstration, where chefs from the Slow Food movement work with entirely Icelandic ingredients and wild Icelandic plants. Guests will, of course, have the opportunity to sample the dishes and chat with the chefs.
The event is presented by the Nordic House, Urban Biodiversity Iceland, Slow Food Icelandic Network, and the Reykjavík Botanic Garden.
