Since 2021, Sónó Matseljur have danced to the seasons with us at the Nordic House and warmed us with spices and herbs from the local area. Now Sónó has decided to change the scenery and therefor December will be their last month with us. However, they are not quiting entirely as they will continue to offer catering services. We recommend to all our guests to try out the beautiful yule menu they have put together for December and to follow them on social media.

We are very excited to announce that on February 1, 2025, Plantan café will open a bistro at The Nordic House – Plantan bistró will be a restaurant and catering service that will offer a small seasonal menu with an emphasis on healthy and delicious food, pastries baked on site and good coffee. Everything on the menu will be plant-based and the selection will rotate slightly as creativity and seasonal variation are important.
The owners of Plantan bistró are Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, Bernódus Óli Einarsson and Júlía Sif Liljudóttir. Some of you may recognize them from Plantan café located at Njálsgata 64.
