Three part-time vacancies for a new established Service Team at The Nordic House
The Nordic House in Reykjavik, Iceland, is an established Nordic meeting place for art, culture, language, and social discussion. Sustainability is central to our company. About the role: You’ll be joining a team of three, working in shifts between the Hvelfing exhibition and our library. We’re looking for you, who are service-oriented, outgoing, creative, inclusive, able to multitask, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
The vacancies are all part-time (66%), and includes weekend work, on a fixed work-schedule.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Greeting and assisting visitors in the exhibition and in the library.
- Providing general information to the visitors and do basic ad-hoc library services.
- Assisting with PR related work such as social media and creating content.
- Do guided tours around the house and the exhibition.
- Assisting project managers and curators in the Nordic house ad-hoc.

Our ideal candidates have:
- Substantial experience in customer service-related work.
- Familiarity with most common social media platforms and content management systems.
- A passion for working within art, culture, and literature.
- The ability to communicate fluently in Scandinavian and English, and good skills in Icelandic is merit. It is a plus if you’ve worked with accessibility initiatives.
