Winter Break Workshop – Create Your Own Pippi House!

09:30 - 11:30
Elissa Auditorium

Pippi is super strong and full of imagination! She loves doing things her own way. In this creative workshop, children will dive into the world of Pippi while drawing in an unexpected way. Just like Pippi! Children will discover treasures, become Thing Finders and bring home their very own portable piece of Pippi’s world.

Pippi is a Thing Finder and with that in mind the workshop will start with a treasure picking game. Magdalena brings tactile interesting objects which each child can pick 2 to 3 objects from, to draw in an unexpected way; under the table and on top of their heads, just like Pippi might. These drawings will come out funny and weird and set the mood to not make things perfect. Drawing under the table will be tiring for the arms but the goal is to become super strong like Pippi!

Children will cut these drawings so they become ”stickers” to decorate a little cardboard house. They will also use colourful Japanese paper to glue and decorate the house to make it unique. Madalena encourages children to work independently, cutting their own drawings and shapes.  The goal is to encourage kids to explore, invent, and share their unique perspective through art.Instagram for Art Workshops is: Skiss og Skemmtun

“Pippi is all about independence and fun and that is what I want to bring.”

Madalena is a Portuguese artist and storyteller who believes imagination grows best through play. Her workshops are creative adventures where anything is possible! Drawing upside down, making natural inks, finding unexpected treasures…
