WINTER WORKS with Rosa Liksom
11:00
Winter Works is a literary advent calendar from the Nordic House in Reykjavík. Five Nordic writers from Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland interpret winter and read from their homes.
How does winter work? Does it hurt? Does it bring joy? Does it touch something?
For Rosa Liksom, winter is absent and hasn’t shown itself in Finland this year, a country stuck in the muddy fall. Instead, we follow revelations in bog waters and love, which shows itself in the middle of a war. She reads excerpts from her work Oberstinden.
All invited writers are former nominees or winners of the Nordic Council’s Literature Prize. The Nordic Council’s literature secretariat is based in the Nordic House in Iceland.
