We proudly present our next literature event in the Meet-the-author series at the Nordic House auditorium, the 25th of August at 16:00, in collaboration with The Representation of the Faroe Islands in Reykjavik. Meet Carl Jóhan Jensen in conversation with Einar Már Guðmundsson, as they unfold Carl Jóhan Jensen authorship. The conversation will be held in Icelandic.

Carl Jóhan Jensen (b.1957). He holds a degree in linguistics and literature. He made his debut in 1977 with the poetry collection Yrkingar, and has since published works of poetry, novels and essays, which has been translated to many languages. Carl Jóhan Jensen is one of the most prominent authors on the Faroese literary scene today and is a four-time winner of the prestigious Faroese Literature Prize “Mentanarvirðisløn M.A. Jakobsens” in 1989, 2006, 2015 and 2022, and has been nominated for the Nordic Councils Literature Prize on several occasions.
Einar Már Guðmundsson (b. 1954) hardly needs an introduction to our audience. He is one of the most widely translated Icelandic authors and has received many awards and distinctions for his books.
The Nordic House Library has many of their works, translated into several Nordic languages, which you can borrow with a library card, if you want to get familiar or reacquainted with their work. The event will be opened by the Faroese representative to Iceland, Hanna í Horni.
The restaurant Sónó will be open before and during the event, for those wanting food and refreshments.
