Allan van Hansen (born 1978) made his literary debut in 2019 with the graphic novel Jammers Minde, which is based on the captivating memoir of the same name by the royal daughter Leonora Christina about her imprisonment in the Blue Tower in Copenhagen from 1663-85. Since his debut, Allan van Hansen has published Underlevet in 2022, which in an experimental format tells a story about abuse and trauma and about living on. Allan van Hansen won the Ping Prize for Underlevet.

The conversation will be led by Thomas Bæk Brønsted. Thomas is studying comparative literature at the University of Copenhagen and is an intern at The Nordic House this fall.
