A seminar on listening and the legacy of Pauline Oliveros, an American composer, pioneer of electronic music, and developer of the practice known as Deep Listening. “Listen Well” will explore the connection between listening as a compositional method and listening as an embodied, ecocentric practice in the 21st century.

Presented by; Angela Rawlings, Berglind María Tómasdóttir, and Rachel Beetz in addition to students from Iceland University of the Arts: Linnéa Falck and Stefanía Helga Sigurðardóttir. The seminar includes a performance of Thickening Time—composed by Linnéa Falck, inspired by Pauline Oliveros, and performed by Berglind María Tómasdóttir, Bergþóra Ægisdóttir, and Sigurður Halldórsson.
