How Little is Enough? Performative Encounter: Art Research

On Saturday, January 11th, Steinunn Knúts-Önnudóttir will present her doctoral project through a performance lecture, participatory performance, and video screening.

How can artists respond meaningfully to the global crisis? What methods of performance have the power to transform? How can performative encounters contribute to sustainable change? What is sustainable dramaturgy? What is existential dramaturgy?

In her doctoral project, How Little is Enough? Sustainable Methods of Performance for Transformative Encounters, Steinunn explores these questions. Her artistic PhD was undertaken at Malmö Theatre Academy as part of the Agenda 2030 Graduate School, a transdisciplinary research initiative within Lund University.

Guests are invited to gain insight into the key themes, methods, and findings of her research through a performative presentation that embodies the project’s core concepts and approaches.
