Eatable Art. Color workshop for babies – Children’s Culture Festival

The workshop is part of Children’s Culture Festival which is hold on 17th-22nd April in Reykjavík.
Color workshop for babies (5-11 months) with the Finnish artist Marika Tomu Kaipainen. In this workshop, the children are given vegetable-, fruit- and food-based colors, and with the help of the custodian they will make art. The children explore by touching, feeling, looking, smelling and hearing and they use their five senses simultaneously.
Thursday April 19th at 11.00-12.00 (registration not needed) April 19th at 13.00-14.00 (registration at tix.is here).
The workshop at 13.00 is now fullbooked. Guests are welcome to enter a waiting list at the door or attend the workshop at 11.00 (no registration needed). However, please consider that there will be limited space.
Instructions for the Eatable Art workshop for babies.
Please have the children in exposable clothing. Stains will occur and some colours, like blue made from blueberry, does not wash out.
The colours which will be used in the Eatable Art workshop for babies comes from corn, rice, potatoes, raspberry, blueberry, apple (these tree from baby food) and a little mango and dried pea. It there is any allergies, any colour (food) can be omitted.
The floor will be covered with clean plastic.
The colours to be used are prepared on foodstuffs.
