Family Wednesday: Sustainable Holidays and Conscious Consumption

10:30
Children's Library

Welcome to Educational Wednesdays in collaboration with the Svanurin in Iceland.

The holidays come with traditions that often involve consumption – whether it’s food, gifts, or other goods. But what can we do to reduce unnecessary consumption while still enjoying a joyful holiday?

The lecturer is Katla Þöll Þórleifsdóttir, specialist at the Svanurin in Iceland.

After the presentation, visitors are invited to play and explore the amazing Pippi Longstocking exhibition “Pippi, Democracy and Children’s Voices”, which includes an adventure house and costumes!

Accessibility:The Nordic House has good access to most of the building’s spaces. There is a wheelchair ramp that leads up to the house and inside the house there is an elevator that goes down to the exhibition space Hvelfing. Unfortunately, there are only stairs down to the children’s library from the library itself, but for wheelchairs it is accessible from Hvelfing.
