Pálsson Hirv Dúettinn – Picnic Concerts

The Nordic House opens the glass doors and invites you to concerts under the luminous Icelandic sky every Sunday afternoon (3 PM) during the summer in our beautiful greenhouse. The Picnic Concert Series presents Icelandic and Nordic artists with music inspired by tradition or experimenting with the newest genres and tendencies. The concerts are free and open for all!
Páll Ragnar Pálsson and Tui Hirv are an Icelandic-Estonian couple sharing a home downtown Reykjavík. Páll is a composer and Tui a singer, and most of the time they create and perform contemporary classical music. But Páll also has a long and fruitful career as a songwriter and rock guitarist and Tui is a daughter of a poet and fluent with words. Páll and Tui share a fascination for well-written tunes and lyrics by other authors and want to give them a new life, acoustic.
You can buy coffee, cake, food or drinks in Aalto Bistro to take out or enjoy afterwards in the iconic rooms of Alvar Aalto.
