Workshop: Tech-Philosophy for children (10-12 years old)

Children in the ages of 10-12 years old are invited to a philosophical and playful workshop with a focus on the future’s technological society and everyday life.

How do children experience technological everyday life? How do children want to live in a technological society and what should the future world look like? At this workshop children get the opportunity to express themselves and reflect on their experiences of our world full of technology: Should AI do our homework? Should we become friends with robots? And what should not be technology? And who should decide all this?

Through creativity activities we will try to imagine, how the future can look like if children decide. Throughout the workshop will make an analog creative product in small groups, present our ideas to each other, and tell how we wish to live in a technological future. After, we will try out an AI-picture generator and try to compare the result of the AI machine and our products. Do we get new ideas, about what the future should be like? Are those ideas better than the ones we had before? Come and join us to find out.

The workshop will be held in basic English with the Danish philosophy student Amalie Guldberg Thomsen, who is interning at Nordic House. Space is limited and sign up is needed. Sign up by sending an email to: hrafnhildur@nordichouse.is
