On the occasion of the visit of NATO Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemoeller, the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs is hosting an open lecture in cooperation with the Institute for International Affairs of the University of Iceland and Varðberg.

Gottemoeller took up her position as DSG in October 2016, after serving nearly five years as the Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security at the U.S. Department of State.
DSG Gottemoeller has a career as a scholar focusing on international affairs and has worked for think tanks in the field, including as Director of the Carnegie Moscow Center.
